The Prophet PBUH said, |
The "Qasas Al-Quran" (قصص القرآن) or Stories from Quran is any of various collections of tales adapted from the Quran. Because the lives of biblical figures were covered only briefly in the Quran, scholars, poets, historians, and storytellers felt free to elaborate, clothing the bare bones with flesh and blood. Authors of these texts drew on many traditions available to medieval Islamic civilization. Many of these scholars were also authors of commentaries on the Quran.Online Urdu اردو (Audio MP3) |

"The example of him (a believer) who recites the Qur'an is like that of a citron which tastes good and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Qur'an is like a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who recites the Qur'an is like the Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who does not recite the Qur'an is like the colocynth which tastes bitter and has no smell. Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: Bukhari |
